We have been fighting hard for step free access to Newbury Park station. Step free access is vital for disabled and elderly people, as well as people with pushchairs. We are delighted to see that a lift has finally been installed in Newbury Park station.
Assembly Member for Havering and Redbridge, Keith Prince, said: "After many years and a number of false starts, we are finally seeing the installation of the lift at Newbury Park Station. I would like to put on record my thanks to the local residents who tirelessly campaigned for this much needed improvement".
