Redbridge Conservatives have been campaigning to reopen the front desk at Barkingside Police Station since the Labour Mayor of London closed the front desk in 2018. We have been campaigning for our residents to have the opportunity to talk with the police face to face and we are pleased to report to residents that due to the continued pressure of our campaign that we now have one “Mobile Enforcement Unit”. Whilst this is a good initiative this does not replace the front desk being open at Barkingside Police Station or a permanent Police Hub in Woodford as it is not available in a particular area.
