Redbridge Labour Council calls these modular container units in South Woodford ward as ’safe and secure accommodation’ and yet a mother and her son, plus many more are suffering the consequences of poor planning.
In the last few days, temperatures topped the 36 degrees mark - meaning that inside these containers is unlivable.
This is bad news for families!
Conservative Cllr Suzanne Nolan , (South Woodford) said the situation was “totally and utterly unacceptable”, adding: “I’m very worried for this lady. She’s clearly worried for her own health and her little boy.”
What these families need are proper homes not CONTAINERS for homes.
