We are three Hainault ward residents who were involved with the “Save Our Green Space” campaign and are now standing in the local election this May to help fight local issues.
Over the past 4 years we have seen the residents of Hainault being completely ignored by the three current councillors and we feel it’s time Hainault residents were heard. We would like to be given the opportunity to be the voice for Hainault.
We want to see Hainault become a community we can all be proud of and we believe, as local residents ourselves, that we understand and appreciate concerns that residents have with the area. We realise the need for more activities and clubs for our youth and elderly residents.
Hainault has open spaces, green belt and parks that are precious – we will continue the fight to stop it becoming a concrete jungle.

I am a qualified teacher and currently work with children in the special needs sector. My parents moved to Hainault from the East End of London when I was one year old and I was raised and educated here.
Hainault has changed over the last few years but I believe we can bring back a sense of community where residents are proud of, and look after, the area in which they live. For change to occur you need to give a voice to the community and listen to concerns from the young to the elderly. I’d like to keep Hainault from over development and make our home safer, healthier and more enjoyable for all.

I am a bus driver and devoted lost animal scanner. I have lived in Hainault for over 20 years. I want to continue to protect our valuable green spaces especially from continued overdevelopment.
Crime is high and there needs to be more visual police presence on our streets. I will continue to campaign for more activities and play areas for our children, and push for clubs where our older generation can meet up and reminisce.
We drastically need changes in Hainault and we need them soon. We as a community are fed up not being listened to. It’s about time the people had a voice to represent them. Let’s once again make Hainault a community to be proud of.

I am a face painter and have lived in Hainault for 21 years. I am a member of the “Save Our Green Space” committee who campaigned against Redbridge Council building on Manford Way & Brocket Way parks. I plan to continue to campaign to save all green spaces and stop over development of Hainault.
I was also involved with the instalment and adoption of the planters at Manford Way shops. There is still more that needs to be done to stop the illegal parking, speeding and begging in Hainault. The residents of Hainault have been let down by the current 3 Labour Councillors with their refusal to help save our much loved park - it’s time Hainault had a voice.
